Prepare yourself for a transformational cycling experience with the “machine”, Adam Wasserman. Ladies and gents, when you ride with Adam, you’ll be on a ride of a lifetime. You’ll leave class feeling ready for whatever the day has in store for you. His energy, passion, and encouragement are unmatched and he brings out the strength in his riders. Adam packed every minute of class, never slowing down. And the FlyWheel studio in Williamsburg is the nicest one there is, hands down.

RUNDOWN

WORKOUT

Adam brought us on the Tour de France. Half of class was biking up steep hills and the other half was sprints. His formula was a tabata-like, and his class is not for beginners – it’s for the frequent flyers. He pushed us hard and at times we weren’t sure if we could actually make it through the entire class. Expect to hit a max torq of 45 and sprint 100+ mph frequently. There was minimal choreography, so it was a true cycling experience. The class was well-structured and he nailed timing sprints to the beat. In Adam’s class, you’ll burn 800+ calories and your legs will need an ice bath afterwards.

INSTRUCTOR

Adam kicked our butts and we loved every second of it. In our opinion, there’s nothing better than riding with an instructor like him who constantly keeps you motivated and pushing beyond your limits. He never got too aggressive or too in your face. Adam is a real athlete and cycler, not just one of those “pretend to be athletic” spin instructors. I mean, have you seen those calves…? Adam pushed us with each “let’s goooooo!” Our advice: listen to Adam and you will thank him afterwards.

SPACE

The FlyWheel studio in Williamsburg is the nicest FlyWheel studio we’ve been to. It’s brand new, modern, chic, and exceptionally clean. When you enter, there is a lobby but no front desk. There are self-service iPads for check in and two employees that can also check you in if the self-service iPads are occupied. The lobby has seating, a refrigerator, and apparel for sale. Right past the lobby on the left are two changing rooms and as you walk to the back of the studio, there are shoe holders all along the wall with your bike number on it. Make sure to pre-select your shoe size! The bathrooms have dark wood and dim lighting, and they are spotless. As for the studio itself, the stadium seating is a perfect layout. All seats are treated equally. No matter where you’re sitting, you’ll have a good view of the instructor. All in all, the Williamsburg studio is one we’d highly recommend visiting.
