VERVE Studios

Be prepared to sweat and ride your heart out at VERVE Studios in Del Mar! VERVE studios recently opened its doors and is beautifully designed with white, blue and turquoise hues. Don’t forget to check out their photo-op wall and their very carefully designed bathrooms with fancy candles and room sprays that will make you feel like you’re at a spa. You can tell that the studio sprays and toiletries were very carefully picked with the environment in mind. This studio will give you all the feels and an amazingly sweaty workout, so be prepared to work!

WORKOUT

Our ride at VERVE was a special one. The positive energy that radiated from our fellow riders and Lena, our instructor, was the first thing we noticed. Lena warmed up our bodies with a medium tempo jog and led us into sprints in and out of the saddle, jumps, hill climbs and oblique crunches. Even during the steepest hills, we all seemed to feed off each other with audible motivational cheers. We then slowed it down with an arm song that left our shoulders and triceps hanging on for dear life. The song was no joke! After the arm song, Lena kept it mellow and slowly sped us out into the last couple songs. Two 30 second out of the saddle sprints took us to the finish line.

INSTRUCTOR

Our instructor and owner, Lena, welcomed us into the studio with a smile, gave us a tour, and helped us adjust our bikes. She is such a natural on the podium! We felt her energy and motivation to push through what we thought we couldn’t achieve. Not only is she an energetic and tough instructor, but the woman can also sing! Every once in a while you can hear her join the tune of the music and it is GLORIOUS! If you’re looking for an intense and quick upper body workout while building your endurance, make sure to check out Lena’s class because her class and arm song routine is no joke!

SPACE

VERVE Studios is located right off the 5 freeway in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The studio was carefully designed with a spacious layout in mind. As you walk in, you’ll find yourself next to a beautiful instagrammable wall and the check-in desk. You’ll see VERVE apparel for purchase, after which is the locker room area with benches, bathrooms, and showers. VERVE Studios has the best bathrooms and showers we’ve seen thus far. Not only are they beautiful, but they’re also very clean and offer non-toxic and locally owned bathroom amenities. We aren’t kidding, don’t forget to check out their beautiful bathrooms.
