WHY DID YOU BECOME A FITNESS INSTRUCTOR?

Ultimately teaching chose me. I was working for Cynthia Rowley, running her Boston Boutique and doing product allocation. I had my “ah ha” moment after attending her NYFW show in 2012. I came home and cried for three days. What fed me for 10 years now drained me to the core. The only thing that felt at home was my practice.

FAVORITE GO-TO PUMP UP SONG?

Aggressive Hip Hop… ALL OF IT! The dirtier, the better.

FAVORITE MOVIE?

If I want to cry, The Notebook; If I want to laugh, Billy Madison; If I want to dream, The Blue Lagoon (living on the beach but without the doing your brother thing)

FIRST JOB?

Sears, in the Intimate Apparel Department. I sized women for bras at 16 years old.

GO-TO WEEKDAY MEAL?

Grilled salmon, rice, and veggies

PERFECT SUNDAY AFTERNOON?

With my husband, no plan, and letting the day take us wherever. When you can finally let go of control and planning, your day becomes incredibly beautiful. That may mean binging on Homeland for 8 hours, or driving to places unknown. I don’t believe in a Sunday checklist.

WORST IN-CLASS BLOOPER?

I swear a lot and tell many jokes. Not sorry about it, but moments when everyone just stares at you like you are an asshole and not funny … That’s fun. NOT!
