Actually, the aspiration started at a young age (really young) because my mother was a fitness instructor and I would watch her teach in admiration. In my early twenties, I started teaching fitness classes, eg Zumba, Kickboxing, step. Then came yoga and I knew that was what I was supposed to be doing. I wanted to share this amazing thing with anyone and everyone. I knew it could help people become happier, healthier versions of themselves.
It changes all the time but I’ll go with my ALL TIME FAVORITE : “In Da Club” 50 cent. Doesn’t get old.
It was my moms “Hi-Lo” aerobics class when I was around 7 years old. It was at a studio called “Funky Fitness.” Yep, no joke. I will let you envision how that went on your own.
Forest Gump.
“CIT” at a day camp.
Canton, MA.
Pizza, er, Nachos. Wait, Pizza. F it, give me anything with layers or melted cheese and I am happy.
I am loving the new sushi spot in the North End, Crudo. Sushi in the north end?! Yes! Fun vibe with music, cool staff and good food!
Sunday is my only day off, so I use it to relax and recharge because my weeks are crazy. In the summer, its a beach day. In the winter, its binge watching Netflix with my puppy, Stella.
So its the end of a hip hop yoga class, (the last part of the class get really slow, lazy, and mushy, and you just completely melt into a puddle on your mat). Anyways, the nice calm savasana song ends, everyone is off in sleepy yoga heaven, and over the speakers 50 cent “In Da Club,” BLARES! It was accidentally on the end of the playlist. “Woops, I guess now we’re all awake, Namaste!
Pretty typical daily attire: lululemon Align Pant (like butter), lululemon Energy Bra, and a loose fitting Spiritual Gangster tank.
My sequencing journal. I get the most random ideas for classes from the strangest places and I would never remember them if I did’t write them down. No one would understand wtf I was talking about if they were to read it, but it makes sense to me (usually).
Other than nachos and Netflix binging, which we’ve covered, I think I will have to say the occasional Chinese takeout. Sometimes a girl just needs a crab rangoon.
Barry’s Bootcamp. I am OBSESSED. I love everything about it: the staff, the facility, the workouts, and the fact that I DON’T teach there. It is my happy place.
OY these question stress me out. I just hope I am happy and healthy, and that my friends and family are healthy and happy. I feel like I am living my purpose now by teaching yoga, so hopefully I will be doing the same thing!
Lululemon pants. Its about time for a clean out. Some of my friends get my hand-me-downs so they will be pumped.
Easy, COFFEE.
Puppy kisses. I like to think she is showing affection, but I know she has to pee and eat. But my puppy alarm is the best.
Toss up between Ellen and Larry David.
This is a tough one, because a lot of people have and continue to inspire me. I’ll go with someone I see on a daily basis, my friend and coworker, Megan Rosanski. Megan is the kindest, sweetest person I know, she is always willing to work her ass off and help any time she can. AND she’s currently pregnant and teaches like 100 classes a day. Her energy is freaking incredible.
