When your workout ends and the hunger sets in it’s time to get food in your belly ASAP. We’ve partnered up with sweetgreen to bring you a guide of some of the best places to workout around Boston and eat sweetgreen immediately after. We’re here to help you continue making good choices. You can find sweetgreen near all the studios in the guide below, have at it. And if you don’t have the sweetgreen app, we’d suggest downloading it now…game changer.

THE SPOTS

1. YOGAWORKS BACK BAY

It’s the teachers at YogaWorks Back Bay that make this place shine. They are well-schooled, well-practiced, challenging, welcoming, and extremely knowledgable. Most have been teaching for 5+ years, long before everyone and their mother had gone through 200 hours of YTT and thought they were the next Pitanjali because they could hold a handstand and post it on Instagram (#guilty).

Closest sweetgreen: Back Bay 659 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116

2. BSC LAB

BSC Lab (formerly BFX Studio) is the brainchild of Town Sports International (the people who own Boston Sports Clubs). BSC Studio is the globo gym chain answer to creating a “boutique” fitness experience. We use the term “boutique” lightly because while BSC may have that high-end feel, it definitely is not highly specialized. They offer a wide variety of fitness classes ranging from barre to high-intensity boxing. Whichever realm of the fitness world you fall into, there is a class that caters to your needs.

3. EVERYBODYFIGHTS SEAPORT

Let’s be honest… EverybodyFights (EBF) looks like someone took the roof off of a sceney Southie watering hole (you know the one) and dumped its contents into a boxing gym. The interior is trendy and the people are sexy.

Closest sweetgreen: Fort Point 372 Congress St, Boston, MA 02210

4. TURNSTYLE CYCLE INK BLOCK

It turns out, third time’s finally a charm for the crew of Turnstyle Cycle. Don’t expect the down and dirty “Velo-City” experience from Back Bay, and don’t expect the intimate neighborhood feel from Kendall in Cambridge. The modern, sleek, two-story space left us for the first time in Boston boutique-fitness history not plastered against the wall trying to navigate the studio.

Closest sweetgreen: Ink Block 354 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118

5. COREPOWER YOGA INK BLOCK

CorePower Yoga has made its South End debut and it’s everything we’ve been waiting for. In typical CorePower fashion, the studio is beautiful and the classes are tough. Yoga Sculpt is hot yoga meets bootcamp, and it’s exactly as intense as it sounds. Direct quote from a fellow yogi leaving Yoga Sculpt class: “This is the sweatiest I have ever been!” Right there with you, sista.

6. FLYBARRE AT FLYWHEEL SPORTS

FlyBarre Sport 60 is NOT your average barre class. We went in expecting a “pretty girl” workout, you know the ones that won’t mess up your bun or only force you to break a teensy sweat. But damn, we were so WRONG!!! Apparently next time we should be going all in and hitting a double. The class drew a large crowd straight out of spin studio who were looking for a great stretch, and intense arm and and core work.

Closest sweetgreen: Prudential Center 800 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02199

7. BURN FITNESS BACK BAY

Ever found yourself at Burn Fitness’ original South End location thinking, “the class options are great, but I wish the studio was larger and offered more amenities that aren’t in a basement”? Yeah us too, which is why the opening of the new Back Bay location is a perfectly timed early Christmas gift for all.

8. EVERYBODYFIGHTS FIDI

Enter EverybodyFights FIDI.  What the Seaport location lacks in intimacy, FIDI makes up for and then some, all the while still feeling 100% on brand. There was clearly no expense spared here. The design, build out, customer experience, and overall aesthetic should be taught in a Branding 101 course at HBS. At one point, between throwing punches and gasping for air, we caught ourselves staring at all the metal work… damn, this place is nice.

Closest sweetgreen: Downtown Crossing 13 School St, Boston, MA 02108

9. BRICK BOSTON

BRICK Boston offers CrossFit classes along with a variety of other programs including Yoga, Weightlifting, Personal Training, and B|X. For those of you who might not want to throw steel around, become a gymnastics ninja, or head to the CrossFit Games but who do want to get your sweat on and burn some cals with a high intensity interval training workout, we highly recommend heading to BRICK to take B|X.

Closest sweetgreen: Summer Street 13 School St, Boston, MA 02108

10. B/SPOKE STUDIOS

By now everyone in this city has heard of the big dogs: SoulCycle and FlyWheel. But you might not have heard of B/SPOKE, and we recommend getting to know them. The space is beautiful (read: small but beautiful). Goodbye stark white walls with mantras and hello wood paneling and sophisticated design. The attention to detail in the space makes you feel right at home from the moment you step in the door. But don’t get too comfortable: as soon as the lights go down and the music starts pumping, you’re going to start to sweat…a lot (or maybe that was just us).
